About the cover
 There are two quilts featured on our front cover. The quilt on the left is “Buttercup Fantasia.” It measures 70” x 86”. The quilt top was designed and machine quilted by Carol A. Selepec of Midland, PA. Carol used a Swan Wholecloth Stencil in the center area and freehand featherwork around the outer edges. She machine quilts and sometimes pieces for Joseph Galza, her Moda representative. Joseph asked Carol to make a wholecloth quilt using Moda’s new line of fabric called “Bella” which has a 100% cotton combed silky finish. Carol chose a wavy outer edge for the border and used Hobbs polydown batting to give the quilt a trapunto look.
The quilt on the right was pieced by Chris Devick of Urbandale, IA, using Red Rooster fabrics. Chris made the quilt top using a pattern by Atkinson Designs called Yellow Brick Road. Her quilt is lap size and measures 57” x 75”. It was machine quilted by Cindy Maruth of Ankeny, IA.
